Fleet Cars Data Services
About us

Fleet Cars Data Services has spent a quarter-century with private hire and taxi operators across Ireland and the UK, procuring and negotiating their contracts, managing the relationships behind them, and running the services that keep a fleet moving.

Our story

A quarter-century in the transport sector.

The Data House Behind Private Hire.”

For a quarter of a century, Fleet Cars Data Services has worked in a single sector: transport. Over twenty-five years we have stood alongside private hire and taxi operators across Ireland and the United Kingdom, from single-office firms to fleets running hundreds of cars, and we have made it our business to understand how each one actually runs.

Our work begins before any service goes live. We procure and negotiate the contracts an operator depends on, and we manage the B2B and B2C relationships that sit behind them. It is measured, patient work, the kind that rarely makes noise but quietly decides whether a firm is well served or merely supplied.

Around that core sits a house of managed services: data facilitation, dispatch, call centre facilitation, offshore call handling, and the telephone numbers your customers know you by. Each stands on its own. Together they keep bookings, calls and records in step, without the gaps that appear when every function is run apart.

We are based at the Digital Office Centre on Balheary Road, in Swords, Co. Dublin. A quarter-century on, we still work the way a smaller firm does: close to the operators we serve, accountable for what we run, and in no hurry to become something we are not.

How we work

Four principles, held to across a quarter-century.

These are not lines for a wall. They are the standards every operator is held to, and holds us to, from the first conversation about a contract through to the daily running of the service.

01

Measured before quick

Twenty-five years in one sector teaches patience. We would rather take the time to get a contract and its terms right than move fast and unpick it later. Considered judgement, applied consistently, is what an operator is really paying for.

02

A partner, not a supplier

We run as an extension of an operator, not a line on an invoice. You deal with people who know your firm, your area and your licensing, and who answer when you call. Decisions about your service are made with you, not handed down to you.

03

One house, five services

Data facilitation, dispatch, call handling, offshore support and your telephone numbers sit together under one point of contact. Fewer suppliers to chase, fewer handovers to go wrong, and one house accountable when you need an answer.

04

Built to stand up to scrutiny

Records and call handling are kept ready for inspection, not tidied up after the fact. NTA requirements, local authority audits and GDPR are handled as part of the service, so what we run stands up when someone looks closely.

Our heritage

A quarter-century, in four chapters.

I
Twenty-five years ago

A single focus

The firm began where it still sits today: in the transport sector, procuring and negotiating contracts for private hire and taxi operators. From the outset the work was relationship-led rather than transactional, built on getting terms right and standing behind them.

II
Across the years

Two markets, one standard

As word spread, the work extended across Ireland and the United Kingdom. The B2B and B2C relationships deepened, and with them a plain principle held firm: serve each operator as closely as the first, whatever the size of the fleet.

III
In time

A house of services

Around the core of procurement and relationship management grew a set of managed services, added as operators asked for them: data facilitation, dispatch, call centre facilitation, offshore call handling and telephone numbers. A partner became a house.

IV
Today

A quarter-century on

Twenty-five years in, Fleet Cars Data Services is a measured managed-services house serving private hire and taxi operators across Ireland and the UK, still close to the firms it works with and still accountable for everything it runs.

Different in scale from where we began. Unchanged in how we work.

Why operators stay

Reasons operators stay, well past the first contract.

A plain account of what keeps private hire and taxi firms with us across the years, and across two countries.

01

A quarter-century in one sector

Twenty-five years spent solely in transport means we have seen how private hire and taxi firms actually run, in good seasons and hard ones. That depth is difficult to buy and impossible to fake.

02

Contracts, procured and negotiated

The heart of what we do is unglamorous and valuable: procuring and negotiating the contracts an operator depends on, and holding the terms to account long after the ink has dried.

03

Relationships, managed

We manage the B2B and B2C relationships that sit behind a working fleet, so an operator is not left to chase suppliers, partners and customers across a dozen fronts alone.

04

One house, not five suppliers

Data facilitation, dispatch, call handling, offshore support and telephone numbers usually mean several contracts and several people to chase. With us they become one house, with a single point of contact.

05

Calls covered, in-house and offshore

Call centre facilitation and offshore call handling keep the phones answered through peaks, out of hours and sudden surges, so a customer reaches a person rather than a ringing line.

06

Numbers that stay yours

We supply and support the telephone numbers your customers know you by. As a firm grows or moves, the lines stay constant, so the numbers on the cars, cards and adverts keep working.
